Bio: Harumi Murakami is a professor at the Graduate School of Engineering and a vice director of the Media Center, Osaka City University. She received a B.A. in psychology from Kyoto University, Japan in 1986, a M.Sc. in computation from UMIST, UK in 1994, and a Ph.D. in engineering from NAIST, Japan in 1998. She is a member of ACM, JSAI, JSLIS, and IPSJ as well as a councilor of the Human Interface Society, Japan.
